DeepTruth, LLC (“DeepTruth”) provides products and services related to media certification and validation. You share information with us, for example, by logging into and accessing our online products and services. As you use our services, we want you to be clear how we are using the information that you provide to us and the ways in which you can protect your privacy.
DeepTruth values privacy rights. Our Privacy Policy is therefore adopted with a commitment to safeguarding your privacy rights. Your privacy matters to DeepTruth so whether you are new to DeepTruth or already a customer, please take the time to get to know our practices.
This Privacy Policy only applies to information collected through the DeepTruth.com web site or its system and managed services (collectively, “Web Site”). It does not apply to information collected by DeepTruth in any other way, including information that is collected offline. Our Web Site and services are not directed at children under the age of 13 (See Children below).
DeepTruth reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Revisions to our Privacy Policy will be posted on the Web Site and will become effective immediately. You are advised to regularly check for updates and revisions. Your continuation of services provided by DeepTruth following revision or update of the Privacy Policy shall constitute your acceptance of the amended Privacy Policy.
1. No Sharing of Information
All information gathered through this Web Site is used by DeepTruth and DeepTruth staff and providers only for the benefit of its customers and users. DeepTruth does not sell or rent user information to anyone. DeepTruth does not share any personal information with third parties other than in two (2) exceptional cases: (1) when DeepTruth is legally compelled to do so; or (2) where disclosure is made at your request of or with your written consent. Therefore, unless required to do so as set forth above, we shall not respond to any inquiry from any third party unless we receive your written consent. If an inquiry is received without our having your advanced written consent to reply, we shall write to you requesting such consent. If DeepTruth is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information and work to give affected users notice before personal information is transferred to or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Our site makes no representations with respect to the creation of profiles or the use of cookies by external web sites which may have links to or from our site or that may read and use information obtained from our site. 2. Gathering of Information/Log Files
We do collect personally identifiable information about you, such as your name, email address, phone number, and location, when you voluntarily provide it to us by registering with us or using our website. Once you become a user, you may provide additional information. We use that information to contact you or send you information regarding maintenance or updates when necessary. Our site receives feedback from subscribers primarily through email. This information is not shared with any third party except as set forth above or unless you authorize us to do so.
DeepTruth does not collect personally identifiable information to send out marketing materials. If you receive any such materials, however, you can Opt-Out of receiving marketing materials by contacting us here.
Additionally, every DeepTruth employee must abide by our Privacy Policy. Employees who violate our Privacy Policy are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including immediate termination.
3. Use of Cookies
As part of its personalized services, DeepTruth may use cookies to store and sometimes track information about you. Any information obtained from the cookies will be used solely to improve our products and services to you. 5. Security
We have state-of-the-art security systems that are protecting your user account. However, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we do our utmost to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and all information which you transmit to DeepTruth is done at your own risk. We recommend that you do not divulge your user identification or password to anyone and that you do not provide access to your account to any third party. Also remember to sign out of your account, close the browser window and delete any cookies when you have completed your work.
6. Compromise of Personal Information
In the event that any personal information is compromised as a result of a breach of security, DeepTruth will promptly notify those persons whose personal information has been compromised by email, or as otherwise required by applicable law.
7. Delete/Deactivate
Our Web Site gives you the option of changing your personal information. You may modify your account information at any time by clicking on the “My Account” link in your account page. You may also modify your account information at any time by contacting us here. Once your access is cancelled or you are no longer a user or customer, your information is deleted within twelve (12) months or as earlier required by law, if applicable.
8. Children
DeepTruth does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 years. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under the age of 13 years, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.
9. International Users and Uses
DeepTruth is based in the United States. If you are coming to this Web Site from the EU or any other country with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from United States law, please note that you are transferring your personal data to the United States which does not have the same data protection laws as the EU, the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or such other region and by providing your personal data you agree to the use of your personal data for the purposes in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If Customer refuses such data transfer, DeepTruth will not be able to provide Customer with the services that were ordered.
IF YOU PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION TO DEEPTRUTH THROUGH THE WEBSITE, OR OTHERWISE, YOU REPRESENT AND AFFIRM THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AND AUTHORITY TO DO SO AND THAT YOU HAVE OBTAINED ANY NECESSARY CONSENTS OR AUTHORIZATIONS TO PROVIDE ANY SUCH INFORMATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY INFORMATION COVERED BY ANY DATA PROTECTION LEGISLATION OR REGULATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE EUROPEAN UNION GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR), AND RELATED DATA PROTECTION LAWS.
